Welcome To Fondren Place Townhome Community

Welcome all residents of Fondren Place Townhomes. I decided to create this website because we don’t seem to have a place where we, can express our true feelings concerning our neighborhood or neighbors.

This is a place where we can all discuss anything you would like. I have tried to make a user-friendly environment like a community forum. You need to create an account and then you will be able to share anything you want with your neighbors. Be sure to invite others once you have registered.

We can organize community events, create/join groups for any subject you may be interested in, post to all members, or send private messages to members of those you have friended. I will try and make it as interactive as I can and I will try to provide as much information for and about our community as time goes by.

Please let me know any ideas or suggestions that will make this a better more useful place to discuss our community business or personal issue you may want to discuss.

I will start loading any forms or documents that we are legally required to share, such as meeting minutes, contact numbers, and best practices for getting results from our board members and management company.

I have also included a letter that can be used to request a financial statement from Goodlife Management in a blog post inside the member’s area. Just add your information and copy and paste.

Let’s recap what has happened since the last Annual Board Meeting

The last annual meeting took place on Thursday, September 19, 2024

During that meeting, several things were discussed concerning what was needed and what the board intended to address. Aside from any discussion concerning roofs, the three main topics consisted of:

  1. The giant potholes we have lived with for about three years.
  2. The sprinkler system has not been working correctly for over a year.
  3. Repairing or replacing the Monument Sign, that is rotting.

Those three major projects were chosen specifically because it would be best to address these issues during the winter months. The President of the Board told me that himself, to which I agreed. I was told they would allocate the financial funds we have (already) accumulated to these issues. They also raised our fees by 6% to help offset these costs.

It is now February 22, 2025, five months since the annual meeting.

Has anyone seen any indication that there has been work related to these three issues in the last five months?

Winter will be over in one month.

UPDATE: February 22, 2025

What a coincidence, The same day I posted about the pothole the guys who take care of our lawn are out there filling the hole with what looks like a mixture of gravel and sand. Make no mistake, that is not a repair or an actual “fix”. It is at best a temporary solution to the problem. I don’t know how long it will last but that would make me think they have no intention of doing an actual repair very soon. Let’s keep an eye on the money.
